Earth Night Video Premiere – “La Extinción” @ manny’s
Medina members are excited to collaborate with local and international partners on a powerful new music video for “La Extinción“, a song by Colombian musician and composer Pernett. The video, which highlights the climate and biodiversity crisis, will premiere during Earth Day celebrations at Manny’s on Earth Night, starting at 5 PM.
This family-friendly event will also feature live music by Biologista and local musician Gui Becker.
Directed by Vivian (Yifan) Li and Colin Howe, the 3.5-minute video is the result of in-depth research and a rich collection of visuals contributed by Indigenous representatives Tomás López and Carlos Vanegas (DiskOncept). The footage blends studio scenes with real-life moments from the Amazon rainforest, the Colombia-Ecuador border, and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta—showcasing the profound relationship between Indigenous communities and the natural world.
